Who can post
You can post when your storefront is live and has the Verified badge. Open Posts in the menu of maker.hobbylux.app.
Not verified yet? The page shows “Posts unlock with the Verified badge”. An organiser’s Yes to one of your stand requests verifies you, or HobbyLux checks your storefront. See Verified badge.
A draft storefront cannot post. Publish it first: Publish your storefront.
Write a post
- Open Posts in the menu.
- In “New post”, pick what you want to share: Fresh from the workbench, Find me at … or Work in progress.
- Tap Add photo, and for each photo write “What the photo shows” in a few words.
- Write your text in “Your text” (up to 280 characters) and pick the “Language of your text”.
- Check the preview “Preview · as in the paper”.
- Tap Post now. Your post is on your storefront at once.
- What do you want to share?
- Photos, each with what it shows
- Your text and its language
- Where it shows, and when it is in the paper
- Post now
Write in the language you like best. We translate your text into the other three languages; readers see “Translated from …” and can tap “Show original”.
Three kinds of posts
- Fresh from the workbench: new work, 1 to 4 photos and one line. If you like, link a product with “Link a product from your storefront”.
- Find me at …: a market from the calendar where you will have a stand, with your stand number if you know it (like 14 or B7). No photo. The post also shows on the market page.
- Work in progress: Before and after (2 photos), or 2 to 4 steps.
“Find me at …” only lists markets in the HobbyLux calendar that are not over. Is your market missing? Its organiser can add it on hobbylux.app.
Where your post shows, and for how long
At once on your storefront; a “Find me at …” post also on the market page. Then it goes into D'Maartzeitung: posted before Wednesday 12:00 (Luxembourg time), it is in that Thursday’s edition, else in the next one. The line above Post now tells you the day.
“Find me at …” leaves your storefront and the market page after the market’s last day. Workbench and work in progress posts stay 12 months on your storefront. In the past editions of D'Maartzeitung, your post stays until you delete it.
- On your storefront
- In the paper on Thursday, or the edition it is in
- Reaction counts
- Delete
Each section of the paper shows up to 9 posts. On a busy week your post may not be in the paper, but it stays on your storefront.
House rules for posts
- Your own work only: things you made, photos you took (or may use).
- No outside links: no web addresses, no email addresses. Link a product from your own storefront with the product field.
- No online selling: no “buy now” or “order”, no payment details. Prices are fine; people buy at the market.
- Real markets only: “Find me at …” only where you really have a stand.
- People agree to be shown: ask before you show someone who can be recognised. Never children as the main subject.
- Kind words: no swear words, no hate, nothing indecent, no other people’s personal data.
The rules are part of the Terms for makers. Your storefront’s house rules apply too: see The house rules.
Reactions, reports and the AI check
Visitors react without an account: “I want this”, “Wow, handmade!” or “See you there”, one per browser and post. You and every visitor see the counts. You never see who reacted.
Each new post is checked once by an AI service in the EU (Mistral AI), and visitors can tap Report. Both only ask HobbyLux to look: your post stays live until HobbyLux decides. You never learn who reported it.
Limits: 3 posts a week
- 3 posts a week, from Monday to Sunday (Luxembourg time). The meter shows, for example, “2 of 3 posts this week · resets on Monday”.
- A deleted post still counts for its week.
- Text: up to 280 characters, no links.
- Photos: JPG, PNG or WebP, up to 10 MB each. HEIC photos do not work yet: on an iPhone, set Settings › Camera › Formats › Most Compatible.
Posting is free, and it does not change your plan or your product limit.
