Product options: colours, sizes and their prices

One product in several colours or sizes? Add options instead of a product for each one. Each option has its own price and can be sold out on its own.

Turn on options

  1. Open Products in the menu and tap a product.
  2. Switch on “Options (colour, size …)” under the price.
  3. Two empty rows appear. Give each option a name and a price.
  4. Press Save product.

With options on, the Price field, the “from” price and the product’s Sold out switch hide. Your storefront shows “from” the lowest option price by itself.

  1. Options (colour, size …): on.
  2. Name and price of one option.
  3. An optional photo for this option.
  4. Sold out for this option only.
  5. Add an option.

Add, move and remove options

  • Name: up to 40 characters, in your own words, for example “Mint with scarf”.
  • Price: from 0.10 € to 9,999.99 €.
  • Add an option adds a row. A product has at most 20 options.
  • Move up and Move down change the order on your storefront.
  • Remove takes a row away. You can undo it for 10 seconds.

Nothing changes on your storefront until you press Save product. If a row has a problem, it shows under the field: fix it, then save.

A photo for each option

Each option can have one photo, if you like: tap Add photo in its row. The photo goes up when you save. The rules are the same as for product photos: JPG, PNG or WebP, up to 10 MB, location data removed.

Without a photo of its own, an option shows the product photo.

Good to know

Many option photos at once? Some may wait: the page then says so. Press Save product again 10 minutes later for the rest.

Sold out options

Each option has its own Sold out switch. It is saved with the product. When every option is sold out, your storefront shows the product as Sold out by itself.

In the Products list, a product with options shows “from” its lowest price and, for example, “1 of 3 sold out”. Tap it to change its options.

Tip

A sale in the Stand till never marks anything sold out: you decide. See Stand till.

What visitors see

On your storefront the product shows “from” the lowest option price and one chip per option. A visitor who taps a chip sees that option’s price and, if it has one, its photo. A sold-out option has a dashed chip and the words “Sold out”.

If a visitor asks you in a chat, the ready-made message names the option they chose. See Chat buttons.

Turn options off

Switch “Options (colour, size …)” off. We ask first: the options and their photos are deleted, and the product gets one price again. The first option’s price goes into the Price field. Check it, then press Save product.
